The Caatinga Restoration: Innovative Techniques, Personnel Training, and Seed Network Strengthening subproject aims to establish a Caatinga Restoration Training Center to foster the restoration production chain through three fronts: 1) generation of new technologies to promote the development of more effective restoration models; 2) dissemination of technical information to people involved in the restoration chain; conducting an advanced online course on ecological restoration of the Caatinga to train current or future public managers and federal, state and municipal decision makers with advanced tools for the effective restoration of degraded areas of the Caatinga; and 3) strengthening of the seed network, with the creation of two training hubs for collectors and for purchasing and storing the seeds collected.
