The subproject Producing Integrated Itineraries for Sustainable and Solidarity Tourism on Ilha Grande is carried out by the Association of Enseada das Estrelas Residents (AMEE, the acronym in Portuguese) and its main objective is to encourage the development of integrated itineraries for sustainable and solidary tourism on Ilha Grande, in order to conserve socio-biodiversity, valuing ancestral culture, and promoting the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples and traditional communities present in the region, generating income through the collaborative organization of communities in the solidarity economy network and promoting the culture of ecosystem health, through the creative use of social technologies and cultural practices, in a more inclusive and environmentally friendly productive arrangement, increasing the quality of life of the holders of the living culture that inhabit the location. 

This is intended to be a subproject with a positive social and environmental impact, by the Association of Residents and Fisherfolk of Enseada das Estrelas, together with Coletivo Educação Solidária, the Teaching, Research and Extension Program in Territorial Development PEPEDT/UFRRJ and Nativa da Ilha Tours & Concierge whose objective is to connect citizens of solidarity economy networks with local institutions of scientific, environmental, and business generation expertise. 

The initial idea of the project is to support the construction of itineraries that allow the public a glimpse of the culture and stories of this territory, which is home to traditional hospitable caiçaras [traditional fisherfolk], indigenous and quilombola communities. Despite being considered part of the material and immaterial heritage of humanity by UNESCO, they do not find options or conditions to generate income through sustainable activities, capable of competing with the occupation of their territories by large-scale enterprises and the predatory tourist industry. Due to these pressures, traditional communities end up looking for work in activities that impact not only the environment but also their cultures, leading to a considerable loss of local socio-biodiversity. 

This project proposes the holding of 8 training meetings to address issues such as sustainable territorial development, Solidarity Economy, Community-Based Tourism, social currency, and social participation, in order to, from there, co-create an Integrated Itinerary for Sustainable and Solidarity Tourism in Ilha Grande. It is hoped that this project can serve as the foundation to boost sustainable tourism, capable of leveraging the traditional population of Ilha Grande into a worldwide tourism hotspot.
