On June 5, World Environment Day and FUNBIO’s 25th Anniversary, we open submissions for the fourth edition of the FUNBIO Grants Program—Conserving the Future, in partnership with Instituto Humanize and the Eurofins Foundation.
Since its launch in 2018, the program has supported 134 projects across 20 states + the Federal Capital District. Of these, 25 grants were awarded to master’s degree candidates and 109 to doctoral researchers at 36 different universities. 85 of these grants went to women, and 49 to men.
This year, R$ 1.07 million in funding will be awarded to field research projects dealing with biodiversity conservation. Researchers Brazil-wide can apply for the grants—amounts of up to R$20 thousand for master’s degree projects and up to R$38 thousand for PhDs—and the deadline for submissions is August 1.
