The RPPN Sesc Pantanal – Recovering and Protecting subproject seeks to recover degraded areas and reduce impacts arising from forest fires in the RPPN [Private Reserve] Sesc Pantanal, based on the priorities identified in the Plans for the Recovery of Degraded Areas and to Prevent and Combat Forest Fires.
The Plan for the Recovery of Degraded Areas will be adapted in a participatory manner, involving members of the RPPN’s Consultative Council, as well as collaborators who are not represented on the Council, who may be members of surrounding communities and research institutions and others who are involved with the Reserve, anticipating the recovery of 30 hectares in dry forests and native bamboo forests.
The preparation/revision of the Forest Fire Prevention and Combat Plan is also planned, including an integrated fire management plan –IFM. Efforts and acquisitions of priority equipment and materials provided for in the Plan will be promoted.
